A calm day
Tape measure (longer than your mast)
Pencil/Pen
Measurement form

Attach tape measure to jib halyard.

Hoist to the top of the headstay.

With tape measure still hoisted up the mast measure to the chainplate:

Now walk the tape measure outside the shrouds to the
front of the jib/genoa track: 4a |

Continue aft and measure to the back of the same track: 4b. |

Pull the tape measure down and attach it to the jib tack fitting. |

Now measure to the chainplates, with the tape still at the tack:
