A Cruising Direct Gennaker is the easiest way we know to add a dramatic improvement to your downwind performance...and CD TruRadial™ Gennakers are famous for their easy-to-fly, easy-trimming design. Cruising Direct Tri-Radial Gennakers are computer molded and wind-tunnel optimized for maximum control when reaching and running. They require a minimum of spinnaker tirmming experience and when combined with the North Snuffer Plus™ sail sleeve, they're easy to raise and douse. Cruising Direct Gennakers are designed to fly without collapsing through a broad variation in apparent wind angle.

We currently offer ten sizes of pre-manufactured Gennakers based on the most common North American boat sizes. You can easily determine the size Gennaker you need by taking two simple measurements.

Measuring your Gennaker (Asymmetric Spinnaker)
You can easily determine which gennaker is right for you by following these few simple steps:

1) Luff Length Measurement
Attach a tape measure to the halyard and hoist it as far as it will go. Measure straight down to the gennaker tack fitting. The tack of the sail is flown off the deck just above the pulpit rail, but it can be sailed at a higher or lower location based on personal preference. When measuring, remember that the luff of the sail is rarely a straight line. A higher tack height can reduce chafe, increase visibility. A lower tack height will increase sail area and performance.
