Cruising Direct 4800 Series™ Cruising Mainsails, Mizzens, Jibs, Genoas and Staysails are designed to deliver performance, durability and quality at a surprisingly affordable price for boats 35' and under. We accomplish this by giving you the most desirable features requested in a quality cruising sail, but without the "extras" many cruising sailors don't really require. NorDac™ 4800 Series products are 100% Polyester and feature an extremely tight weave for improved stability and shape holding. 4800 series cruising sails feature a crosscut panel layout that aligns stronger fill oriented threads in the cloth with aerodynamic loads in the sail.

Cruising Direct 4800 Series sails feature a crosscut layout designed to align stronger fill threads with aerodynamic loads in the sail. Quality polyester fabrics are naturally fill oriented, meaning the strong threads run across a bolt of cloth, or in the fill direction. Available in weights from 5.0 oz. to 9.5 oz., the tightly packed weave helps improve shape holding and reduce stretch.
